A new way to submit items for Reserve at the Library

The Library has created a new online form to make it easy for academic staff to submit requests to include materials in Reserve. If you are an academic staff member please visit our submission guidelines page for more information or access the form.

You may still contact us via email (reserve@curtin.edu.au) or at the enquiries desk of the library but our new form provides an easy guided way for you to provide us with the correct information required. We hope that this will simplify the process of submitting materials to Reserve for both academic and library staff.

As the form is new we would appreciate your feedback.

Wireless access to the Curtin network in the Library

If your laptop has a wireless network card, you can connect to the Curtin network and Internet in the Library using the wireless network.

Robertson Library on Bentley campus, Murray Street Library, Muresk Library and Kalgoorlie Library are all part of the University's wireless network. There is complete wireless coverage in these libraries. Note however that the speed and quality of the connection can be affected by:

  • the number of people connected to the wireless network. If there are many people using the network the connection speed can slow down
  • your distance from wireless network access points
  • the speed of your laptop's wireless network card
  • physical obstacles; for example if you are sitting behind a pillar, this might interfere with the signal

More information on the University's wireless network is available at the Wireless Networking at Curtin site.

If you have any problems with using the wireless network you can ask a Student Rover for assistance (at Bentley), come to the Enquiries Desk in your Library or contact us.

Any feedback on your experiences of using the wireless network is always welcome.
